Bravio Zulu to your unit. My good friend, LCDR Joe Martin, USN, SC, is one of your adult volunteers and is a wealth of knowledge and experience.

As the first Commanding Officer of H.E. Mooberry Division, I think it would be proper for you tell who "Hank" was. Hank was the longest acting CO of a unit that the Sea Cadets ever had. He lasted over 35 years in the program. During his time, Mooberry division was known as Dahlgren division. The unit name was changed to Mooberry during the last year of his life and I was appointed as the new CO. During the time that Hank was CO, he had as many as 250 cadets at one time. He ran many Sea Cadet Boot Camps. I was lucky enough to have served with him during his last deployment to boot camp. Hank could be grumpy at times but, he was one of the most respected Sea Cadet Officers the NSCC has ever had. I don't think anyone has ever broken his record of longevity with the NSCC nor do I think anyone Will. Thanks Hank, may you have "FAIR WINDS AND FOLLOWING SEAS!"

Former PO 1st Class in the Dahlgren Division from 1967 to 1970. During the formative teen years of my life, the NSCC was the best possible experience I could have gained. Boot camp, naval base and ship tours of duty, all helped to hone my leadership skills, and build my confidence. I have many pleasant memories from my NSCC days.

CO mooberry was my commander when I was a sea cadet there. I was there for about 2-3 years then went to Andrews Air Force Base for my last year... I really enjoyed the program I had lots of fun doing it. I learned a lot of important life lessons. commanding officer Mooberry was like a father to us he was a great commander.

So happy to see the Division continuing to move forward! I was under LCDR Mooberry also in the 80's and owe a great debt to the Division for all the experiences I was so fortunate to have. Carry on, Shipmates!

It's weird that I was just thinking about commander Mooberry today and I can still remember him yelling out my name when he called me to his office. I'm honored to have served under his command of the program I started out in McCain ship then Dahlgren division. And now as I am training to become. Police officer I can't help but to carry on those traditions I learned from being in the sea cadets with me in the academy I definetly will come and visit the new program when I'm done training....

The man behind this program was great. He has seen me through the good times and the bad. He help mold my manhood and I appreciate him. I was not able to make it to his funeral though I spoke with him not to long before he passed. There is a brother and sisterhood amongst the SEA CADET corp that is like no other. I still have many contacts from that time and we are all doing well. My nephew is now a SEA CADET and I know that he will get the same empowerment that I did more than 20 years ago now.
I want to encourge those that are looking to place your child into this program to do so. The E-3 rank that started office in the military helped tremendously and I was immediately recognized as a leaderwith the experience that I learned being a Navy Sea Cadet.

Wow! The former Dahlgren Division, now named after an honorable, greatly respected person whom I have an enormous amount of admiration and respect - Henry E Mooberry. So proud of once being associated with thecorp, and now even immensely proud on where the new cadet corps is now and will be in the future! Keep up the great work, God BlessAmerica, and everyone associated with the Henry Mooberry Division. Paul Rivas 82-83.

Henry Mooberry was my Commanding Officer when I was a cadet in the early 80's. He picked me up and drove me to the Navy Yard every weekend for years. It makes me proud that they named Dahlgren Division after him and I'm even prouder to say he was my mentor.

I was a former officer with McCain Ship in the 1980's. Served under LCDR Mooberry. Glad to see the unit is named after him. He put a lot of time and effort into Dahlgren Division and McCain Ship.

Great website. I started my division's website and I must say it looks great. This program would be nothing with out the officers and Instructors who give there time up for the cadets. I also what to give a Bravo Zulu for your division's LPO and cadet staff. keep it up and see you at a training. Go Navy and Happy Memorial day . 282109CTD MAY2011.
